ISNHS Intramurals2014

Intramural is a school activity wherein the athletes will have their chance to shine. This is the time for them to join the different activities or sports. This is the time for them to show their skills and talents.

In this year 2014, ISNHS had the intramural again.Even though it was a rainy intrams, we had fun. We, the Theater Arts Club, planned to have a booth so we had our Message Booth. But because it's our last time to have the high school intramural, we want to enjoy every seconds of it. We make sure that we can watch a match. Fortunately, we were able to watch the basketball game. It was an intense game between seniors and juniors. We thought that seniors won't make it but they did. That was a good play.

As a fourth year student, this will be my last time to to experience the high school intramural. And as I think of it, it makes me feel sad. But we have to accept the fact. And even though we're going to college soon, we'll never forget the best intramural experience in ISNHS.

My Teacher My hero

A hero is someone who fights for a cause. For us, they are the people who can sacrifice something just for the sake of others. And when they help others it's because they really want to.

This school year  2014-2015, we will again celebrate the "MY TEACHER MY HERO" day or the Teacher's day. And may be some of us asks "Why do we have to consider them as a hero?" and "Do they really deserve to be called as a hero?". For me, yes. They really deserved to be called as a hero and we must consider them as a hero. Imagine? They sacrifice their time to have fun with their family just to teach us. For us to learn and to be ready in the future, they work hard. Not all of us can do that and may be some of us would choose the time to have fun with the family. But for them, they sacrifice that time. They fight for a cause and we have to thank them for that. If it's not because of them, we are no one in this world.
Observed anything? People nowadays are prone of diseases. But how can we prevent this? What should we do?

Diseases are illness of the body, any unsound or harmful. Diseases are found every where. Like the unwanted germs, viruses that can result to diseases. And all of a sudden it can cause to death. People also fun of buying cigarettes or anything that can affect their health. How can we prevent this? Health is very important to us for it's our treasure. How do we describe a healthy person? A healthy person is physically healthy with strong body parts working, has a feeling of well-being. He has a strong  resistance against diseases.

So we must care and protect ourselves from diseases. We should be alarmed and aware of everything. We should always remember that prevention is better than cure.

Heroes of My World

When I was a child, I thought Superman is real. That he really exist and he's the savior of the world. But as I grow, I realized that all my beliefs were wrong.

Superman, Spiderman, and superpowers; all of those were only in the movies. They are not real. But heroes are real. And I consider my parents as one. First of all, if it's not because of them, I'm not here and I won't have the chance to write this blog. But thanks to them I am here now.

They are also my hero because they protect me in every aspect. They are always there for me especially when I am down. They serves as my Superman who will help me stand when I'm down because of the obstacles of life. And that is something I will be forever thankful. If you have a parent like them, then be proud!

Wika Ng Pagkakaisa

ISNHS Experience

Every time I go to bed, and before I fall asleep, I can't help myself from thinking and realizing the good and bad things I have done on that day. After all, I can say that I'm lucky and bless because I encounter all of those things. High School life! During my elementary life, my cousins kept on telling me that high school is the best. And as a child, I wonder why. Now, my question was answered by my experience.

When I was in first year, I was nervous during the 1st day of class because I don't know if I'll have a friend. My elementary classmates went to other schools, and it's only me who went to Ilocos Sur National High School. But I am happy, my decision to study here was right. ISNHS wasn't perfect and that's what makes it perfect. You can encounter different kinds of students and teachers here. And of course, you also have to encounter the obstacles of making projects and having  a test. Yet, it's all worth it.

I am a fourth year student now and my first grading period was about to end. But like what they say, "The end is only the beginning." I can say that I had my BEST first grading period and I'm going to make my second, third and fourth as best as it is also. Thanks to my wonderful friends and classmates. Because of them, I can describe in just one word my high school life is: EXTRAORDINARY!
The State Of the Nation Address or commonly known as SONA must be done by the president. Every year, a president must have his/her SONA. In their SONA, the finished projects, future projects, opinions and everything they would like to say will be there.

Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III delivered his fifth SONA in July 28, 2014. "Ang problemang nadatnan, nasolusyonan. Ang nandyan, tinutugunan. At ang problemang paparating palang, pinaghahandaan na rin."he said. He also included the promises he fulfilled. " Sabay-sabay nang natutupad ang ating mga pangarap: kalusugang pangkalahatan, silid-aralan, trabaho, daungan, kalsada, paliparan, kaligtasan, at kapayapaan." and at the end of his SONA, he became emotional when he remembered his parents. For me, I'm not satisfied and I somehow don't believe on it. He said that the problems he encountered were now solved but I think it's not. We still have problems in schools, jobs, highways, and most of all peace. I am also disappointed because I didn't hear the most important thing for me, that he must include in his SONA, the PDAF scam. He failed to discuss it so I'm not contented with his SONA. I hope he can prove it.

40th Nutrition Month

Malnutrition is one of our biggest problems in Philippines especially in children. Because of poverty, many Filipino is suffering in hunger and that's also one of the reasons why there are malnourished people. And sometimes, junk foods also cause malnutrition. Now, the question is: How ready are we when there is a calamity?
According to my research, there are 30-40percent  Filipino children who are now malnourished. Isn't it alarming? If you are a malnourished person, you don't have a strength and you'll not be able to think with a better idea. When there is a calamity, malnourished people won't be ready because they are too weak and hungry. This will be also a displeasing problem in our country so we need to put an end on this.
We can fight malnutrition by having a proper diet and by eating healthy foods. Eating fruits and vegetables is the most effective way to fight malnutrition. We have to campaign the proper way of maintaining ones healthy body and we have to tell to everyone what's the good of eating fruits and vegetables. By these, people will be enlighten and we can solve and fight malnutrition.

Dear President,

Television, news, radio, social network sites and more are my source of information of what's happening in my country. Yes, I'm a student. A student who has a concern on what's happening in her surroundings. Please allow me to evince my opinion.

Mr. President, I know its not that easy to be in that position wherein you have to be responsible for us and for our country. You have so many works to do and you're so busy and I understand that. I know you're doing your best to make our country better but pardon me if I'm not satisfied with your performance.

I am disappointed. I am expecting you to lessen the corruptions, crimes, and other bad happenings in our country. But it looks like that's not happening. Let's take the Pork Barrel Scam as an example. That was very displeasing to our country. There's so many hungry Filipino in our country, yet there's still those people who corrupts 10 billion peso in our country. Please Mr. President, I hope you'll do your best to solve this problem. This is for our country, for a better country, and for a better future.

                                                                                                   Respectfully yours,
                                                                                                   Novree Ann Meneses
